Synopsis

This film captures 1 year of sudden change in life of An Moon-mo¡¯s family. They have been living for decades nearby Dong river, but the construction plan of Yeongwol Dam changes their life. An Moon-mo is a single man of 39 years old lives with his 77-years-old mother and 79-years-old father in Jejang village, Deokcheon-li, Sindong-eup, Jeongseon-gun. Jejang village is often seen in TV programs because of the famous ¡®Sudal cave¡¯ and picturesque cliffs. There are only 3 families living in the village. An Moon-mo is a farmer who works more than 50 thousands pyeong(over 40 ha) of the fields. 10 thousands pyeong belongs to him but the rest are belongs to a person in other city to whom he pays for the fields. His father Mr. An Seong-ae suffers from asthma so An Moon-mo and his mother Sin Choon-seon are in charge of all household chores and field works. His mother had been in business in Yeongwol, and then came to Jejang village for farming 35 years ago. The director has been staying with An Moon-mo¡¯s family helping field works since last spring.
