Synopsis

The film starts story about man and woman climb Namsan Mountain in 1968, and They cry holding in their’s arms, lamenting their hard fate. Then, The scenes that the characters represented in Koreans films of sixty experience frustration and shed tears are connected in a row. And The film wants to reveals that the reason the characters in Koreans films of sixty become lethargic result from in the 1960s, the times of Korea.
The characters in the 1960’s films have will to live in the grim realities. But, they can’t reslove a fundmental matter about their’s and that’s the end of the movie.

 

Director's Statement

This film is a found footage film. And this film gathered image of sobbing, sigh appearing Korean movie in the late 1960’s. So, I assemblage this films, and then want to express the times that were doom and gloom in the late 1960’s. But, this film say not only in the late 1960’s which surged desperate world among the public but the phenomenon that young peoeple today are filled with anxiety and despair.
I wonder the story of people in the late 1960s that had been endured the pain as sheding tears was how come to us today. And I want to consider the Korea of today through the film made in the late 1960s. So, I reconstructed the scene where the characters are angry, despair which are outstanding feature in the late 1960s the Korean film. Therefore, this film is essay film about 1960s Korean movie, but also South Korea today.
