Director's Statement

Year 2005 is the 60th anniversary for the end of the World WarⅡ, Japan as the invader and Korea as the victim. But even some 60 years later, there still exists a past grudges that has not been cleared yet. Korea hasn't been able to clarify the 36 years of painful history under the Japanes colonial rulings while Japan still lingers in the memory of her invasion and colonizationo of East Asian countries. This is the year that we start asking questions to japan about the war and self-reflect about what we have done past 60 years to overcome thr sad past and put an end to the historical dispute. The film is trying to show the viewers what kind of process is needed to mend the differences and grudges between two countries.
